1. About these terms
These terms cover court bookings, memberships, coaching, classes, events, vouchers and use of the venue. Bookings and payments are made through MatchPoint (website and app); shop orders go through Shopify, which has its own terms. By booking or entering the venue you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts and age rules
- You need a MatchPoint account to book. Keep your details up to date.
- Players 16 and over can book and play on their own.
- Under-16s need a parent or guardian to complete the U16 Declaration.
- Under-14s must be supervised by an adult at the venue at all times.
3. Bookings and cancellations
| Booking type | Free cancellation up to |
|---|---|
| Casual court booking | 12 hours before |
| Member court booking | 6 hours before |
| Coaching and private lessons | 24 hours before |
| Classes, social sessions and tournaments | 12 hours before |
Cancellations made inside these windows, and no-shows, aren’t refunded. Refunds go to your Padel Park account balance. We hold a court for 15 minutes after the start time; after that it may be released. If we have to cancel, you’ll get a full refund or credit.
4. Payments and debts
Prices are shown in MatchPoint and include GST. An unpaid balance over $5 restricts new bookings until it’s cleared.
5. Memberships
You can cancel a new membership within 3 days of activation for a full refund, with no admin fee, except where the law doesn’t allow this.
6. Vouchers
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase and can’t be exchanged for cash, unless the law requires otherwise.
7. On the courts
- Clean, non-marking indoor sports shoes are recommended to protect the courts and your grip. Outdoor shoes that have been on grass or gravel can damage the surface.
- Use the courts only for padel and pickleball, and treat the glass, nets and turf with care. You may be charged for damage caused deliberately or carelessly.
- Follow staff directions and any signs at the venue.
8. Behaviour
We want the Park to be welcoming for everyone. Abusive, threatening or discriminatory behaviour isn’t tolerated. Staff can ask anyone to leave and may suspend or cancel bookings or memberships. Concerns can be raised through the Complaints Procedure.
9. Health and safety
Padel and pickleball are physical sports with a risk of injury. Warm up, play within your fitness, and tell staff about any injury or hazard straight away. A first aid kit is kept at the venue; ask any staff member. There is no defibrillator on site.
10. Your belongings
Please don’t leave valuables unattended. We’re not responsible for items lost or damaged at the venue, except where we’ve been negligent.
11. Photos, filming and court cameras
We sometimes take photos and video at the Park for our website and social media. If you’d rather not appear, tell staff on the day or email office@padelpark.nz and we’ll leave you out or take it down.
Court cameras record matches on court, and signs are displayed at the courts. A player who requests their match on the court tablet is sent a link to the footage, which shows everyone on that court. Footage is deleted one week after the match. See our Privacy Policy.
12. Coaching and classes
Sessions are run by our coaches at the times shown. We may change a coach or time when needed and will tell you as early as we can.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986. As far as the law allows, our liability for claims other than personal injury is limited to the amount you paid for the booking or service concerned.
14. Disputes
If something goes wrong, see our Complaints Procedure. You can also go to the Disputes Tribunal.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with its “last updated” date.
