How levels work
Levels run from 1.0 to 7.0, the same scale as MatchPoint, with separate padel and pickleball levels.
- Every game counts. Socials, Park League, the Christmas League and matches you log yourself all use the same formula.
- It’s the share of games you win. Before a match, the levels say what share of games each side should win. Do better than that and your level goes up; do worse and it comes down. A 6–4 counts differently from a 6–0.
- Upsets move more. Beat a stronger pair and you climb quickly. Beat a weaker pair as expected and it barely moves.
- Winning never costs you. A win never lowers your level and a loss never raises it, and losers drop a little less than winners gain.
- New players settle fast. Your first ten or so matches move your level more, so you find your spot quickly.
Played an open match? Log it and it counts too.
