Our commitment
Padel Park is a safe, welcoming environment for children, young people, and adults at risk. We prevent harm where we can, respond quickly to concerns, and work with families and the right agencies when needed. Safety comes before activity.

Sport Integrity NZ (Safe Sport): report serious sport-related misconduct/harassmentAge & supervision rules 16+ may self-consent and play solo.
Under 16: can play solo with parent/guardian consent (U16 Declaration).
Under 14: must be supervised on-site by a responsible adult at all times.
After-hours access: under-16s must be with a parent/guardian; arrive/leave together, no tailgating, do not prop doors.
Safe conduct (everyone)
Treat others with respect; no bullying, harassment or discrimination.Keep professional boundaries; keep activities visible (our courts are glass/public view). No alcohol for under-18s; service/play may be refused if anyone appears intoxicated.Clean, non-marking court shoes required.
Juniors: coaching & numbers 1-to-1 coaching (under-16): parent/guardian should be on-site and visible (unless they’ve given prior consent otherwise).
Court occupancy (ex. coach):
Ages 18+: max 6 per court
Ages 14–17: max 5 per court
Under 14: max 4 per court
Changing rooms & appropriate contact
Changing rooms are separate by sex; no filming/photography.
Coaching contact is allowed if appropriate, necessary and explained (e.g., to show safe technique). Prefer open-view positions.
Photos, filming & consent
We post signs at entries when photography/filming may occur.
Under 16: parent/guardian consent required to publish identifiable images for marketing (consent form available from staff).
Ages 16–17: may self-consent; we’ll notify a parent where practicable.
18+: adult self-consent.
Tell staff if you don’t want to appear in photos/video—we’ll note it and take reasonable steps going forward. We don’t tag minors with full names.
Online safety & messaging
We use official app groups/club channels for comms.
For under-16s, parents/guardians are included/notified in direct communications wherever possible.
How to report a concern
If someone is at risk now — call 111.
Otherwise: tell on-site staff or email the DSL at comments@padelpark.nz.
Please share who/what/where/when, any witnesses, and exact words used if possible.
Don’t investigate yourself—just report what you saw or heard.
What we do next
We’ll acknowledge your report within 2 business days (sooner if urgent).
We’ll make an immediate safeguarding assessment, keep information confidential (need-to-know), and refer to Police/Oranga Tamariki or Sport Integrity NZ if appropriate.
We may put temporary measures in place (e.g., access restrictions) while we look into it.
We do not tolerate retaliation for good-faith reports.
External hirers (schools & coaches)
Schools and external coaches using our courts must follow this statement and ensure appropriate vetting/supervision for their staff and students. Ask our team for the current guidance before your booking.
